The David Hand

School of Teaching

Welcome!

The Modawa Institute of Higher Education proudly launched the David Hand School of Teaching in 2025, marking a historic milestone for education in Oro Province. Named after the first Anglican Archbishop of Papua New Guinea, this new Teachers College is built upon the deep foundations laid by the early missionaries—who came to preach, teach, and heal. The Modawa Institute continues that mission today, nurturing future educators through a holistic and community-rooted approach.
