Life on Campus
Modawa Institute is more than a place of learning — it’s a faith-filled community.
Rooted in the legacy of Newton Theological College and built on strong Anglican values, Modawa offers a vibrant campus life where students are supported to grow in knowledge, character, and faith.
At Modawa we strive to create a safe, welcoming, and purpose-driven environment for every student. Life on campus includes:
Boarding & Meals
Full-time boarding is available for students travelling from distant communities. All boarders are provided with three daily meals — breakfast, lunch, and dinner — in a supportive, family-style setting.
Student Leadership
Students have the opportunity to take part in the Student Representative Council. We value student voices and encourage servant leadership.
Faith & Fellowship
Daily life at Modawa is grounded in Christian faith. Regular chapel services, devotions, and student-led prayer groups are part of our spiritual rhythm. Anglican values — respect, service, and integrity — shape our community life.
Clubs, Sports & Activities
Campus life includes opportunities to participate in sports, community service, and special interest groups like women’s fellowship or student-led outreach. These activities promote friendship, leadership, and a strong sense of belonging.
Scholarships & Support
Financial support may be available for students who show commitment to serving in Education, Healthcare, or Theology — particularly in underserved areas of Oro Province. Criteria apply.
Student Conduct & Campus Policies
As a Christian institution, Modawa upholds a clear Code of Conduct based on mutual respect, responsibility, and faith. All students are expected to maintain high standards in behaviour and integrity. Key policies include:
No drugs, alcohol, or betelnut (buai) on campus
Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEAH)
Child Protection Policy
Respect for staff, peers, and sacred spaces
At Modawa, you are not just studying — you are continuing the mission.
To teach, to heal, and to uplift— in your community, and in the world.
